Massage Treatments (buy 3 get one free!)
Experience the ancient healing power of touch under the influence of massage. Massage profoundly affects your mind, body and spirit. Scientific research confirms that massage improves circulation, stimulates the central nervous and lymphatic systems, promotes deep relaxation, and spurs the release of endorphins, the body’s natural pain killers.

We recommend that you schedule a visit with several of our massage therapists to find one that you connect with on a professional and spiritual level, thus maximizing the physical and emotional healing benefits of an unforgettable Phoenix massage. We also recommend that you make massage a habitual experience, and incorporate a weekly, revitalizing treatment into your life.

We hope that upon completion of your massage treatment, your body, mind and spirit are restored to a state of calm and serenity.

PHOENIX RELAXATION MASSAGE
If you have come to the Phoenix to escape the stresses of everyday living and have no major health issues to address, this traditional massage is for you. Long flowing Swedish “effleurage” strokes of gentle to medium pressure will put your both your mind and your body at ease. Lymphatic drainage techniques remove lactic acid build up and toxins that can cause tension in your body. The signature Phoenix Relaxation Massage will increase your circulation, take away these minor aches and pains, and leave you in a pleasant state of well-being. The Phoenix Relaxation Massage is highly recommended for those who desire a blissful break from life’s daily stresses and activities.

30 minutes (half body) - from $60.00
50 minutes (full body) - from $95.00
80 minutes (full body) - from $150.00

PHOENIX DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
This Phoenix Muscle Therapy Massage is designed for the Phoenix client who is experiencing muscle pain or tightness, most commonly found in the back and neck and presenting as “knots,” or generating tenderness in a number of areas within key muscle groups. Excessive physical activity of any kind can cause deep muscular and joint distress. Deep bodywork massage relieves these symptoms by working deep into the muscle tissue layers, allowing the spasms or “trigger points” to release. A very pleasant massage of the feet and hands will be performed, and gentle but firm stretches of the limbs (arms/legs) will be included to provide the client with added relief and increased flexibility.

Often related to job stress, auto accidents, or incorrect sleeping habits, this therapy can also help relieve sciatic nerve pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (“IBS”), tension headaches, TMJ, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, as well as symptoms from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Deep compressions and cross-fiber strokes will “melt away” problem areas and relieve pain symptoms for days or even weeks to come. Of course, regular massage and follow-up home care and stretching will provide longer-term benefits and relief.

For Fibromyalgia symptoms, specialized strokes are utilized according to the severity of the pain that is being generated; including Active or Passive NMR (Neuromuscular Re-Education) and/or “Skin Rolling.”

This massage technique is highly recommended for very active people, those participating in athletic events of any kind, those who work long hours at a computer, or after extended business trips or driving long distances. This particular modality is one of our most popular, healthy and beneficial. It is ideal just before physical activity to prevent injuries and after to help the speedy recovery of strained muscles.

30 minutes (half body) - from $70.00
50 minutes (full body) - from $115.00
80 minutes (full body) - from $175.00

PHOENIX HOT STONE MASSAGE
Those seeking a change from the ordinary are invited to experience a massage utilizing essential oils and smooth basalt stones extracted from lava rock. These stones are best known for their heat retention properties. Initially, oils are applied to the back, followed by placement of the heated stones. This allows the oils to penetrate deep into the tissue layers where their healing properties are best able to perform. Contrary to some exotic television advertisements, hot stones will not be placed on the client’s face or eyes. A general rule of thumb also applies-- no stone touches the client’s body unless the therapist can comfortably hold it in their hand(s). The massage itself can be given with stones held in the palms, or with traditional hand therapy. The technique harnesses the unique properties of the basalt stones, bathing the client in the sensual aromas of the Orient and balancing the spirit. Although this massage cannot take the place of therapeutic deep tissue work, it nevertheless can be a very relaxing and rewarding experience, or a wonderful supplement to regular deep tissue work.

50 minutes (full body) - from $115.00
80 minutes (full body) - from $175.00

PHOENIX EXPECTANT MOTHER MASSAGE
For those who are pregnant, this massage is designed to de-stress both mother-to-be as well as the “new life” they are carrying. Just as physicians have long known the effect that chemicals and food choices can have on both the mother and their unborn child, psychologists are now aware that mothers can communicate intuitively with their “expected” before birth.

Soft flowing strokes can soothe away feelings of tension and discomfort for both mother and baby. The therapist will be acutely aware of which areas of the body that should be avoided, and which trimesters are most conducive for optimal results.

This massage is recommended for any pregnant mother-to-be for whom bodywork has not been contraindicated by their physician.

50 minutes (full body) - from $95.00
80 minutes (full body) - from $150.00

INTEGRATED REFLEXOLOGY (HAND/FOOT MASSAGE)
Reflexology is an ancient Chinese modality that has weathered the “sands of time.” Originally known as “Zone Therapy,” the method as it is known today stems primarily from the tireless efforts of Eunice Ingham. It now stands on it’s own as a very beneficial and “holistic” method. Simply stated, the hands and feet act as a “mirror image” or blueprint of the entire body and its corresponding organs, systems, and structures. Reflexology is designed to release blocked energy that can lead to excess fatigue and tension in the body. The technique can be performed strictly on its own by a practicing Reflexologist, or integrated as a bonus therapeutic treatment for the feet and hands to increase the enjoyment of a standard or customized massage session.

50 minutes (Feet /Hands w/Stretching) from $80.00 - $115.00

DEEP TISSUE CHI RELEASE
This massage technique combines Jin Shin Do acupressure with neuromuscular integration massage, a form of deep tissue work. Physical trauma, emotional trauma, and stress can cause muscle tension to build up in the body, resulting in chronic pain. Medical Qi Gong, a form of acupressure with its roots in traditional Chinese Medicine that works to remove blockages in the energy pathways or “meridians,” is also incorporated. The body is brought back into a balanced state, and chronic muscle and joint pain are relieved.

50 minutes – from 95.00
80 minutes – from 150.00

SEATED CHAIR MASSAGE

This increasingly popular massage technique can be performed fully clothed, in almost any venue or setting, and is available in most upscale Spas. Corporate chair massage is also very popular in the business sector, and is sometimes offered as a “perk” to its employees by a business seeking increased production from its work force, or a reward for work “above and beyond” the normal. The Phoenix Spa Team of Professionals are specially equipped to do both-- we provide convenient chair massage to our clients awaiting other services, to our corporate and professional clients who only have a few moments to relax, and to our nearby corporate neighbors who wish to have on-site services for their employees.

This modality is essentially limited to the back, neck and scalp areas, but may also include work on the arms and hands. The massage can range from a rapid “sports-like” treatment to a slower “deep tissue method.” Either way, the benefits are many. The convenience of a chair massage is that it can literally be done on your lunch hour, making it a popular choice for people on the go that need a “tune up.”

Minimum - 10 minutes ($1.50 per minute)
Maximum - 30 minutes ($1.50 per minute)

How to Receive a Massage at the Phoenix
Please allow yourself plenty of time prior to your massage appointment to prepare for the experience. Racing to the spa only moments before your scheduled time will hinder your enjoyment of the massage, especially during the colder months. Arriving early will allow you time to savor a cup of tea, enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the waiting area, and permit your muscles to warm and relax.

You will be led to a serene, comforting treatment room. Unless your massage therapists recommends that you wear a certain type of clothing (for instance, loose fitting garments for a treatment focused on stretching), remove your clothing, and lie beneath the sheets of the comfy massage bed. You will be draped by a sheet during your massage to preserve modesty.

Remember, proper communication is essential to receiving the massage you want. Tell your therapist if the pressure is too gentle or deep, or if you are experiencing discomfort. Please use the client questionnaire as an opportunity to discuss your needs or precautions with your therapist.

As your treatment commences, close your eyes and allow your mind and body to unwind. Listen to your therapist, and take deep breaths, releasing all tension and stress with every exhalation.

Enjoy a refreshing glass of water after your treatment, and continue to hydrate throughout the rest of the day to further rid your body of the toxins released during your massage treatment.
